LTFRB caps online booking fees for taxis

MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Saturday said booking or platform fees charged to passengers using online taxi booking platforms will be capped at P60 or 20 percent of the total approved fare, whichever is lower. In a statement, the agency said it recently approved Memorandum Circular No. 2026-055 that establishes the new price cap following complaints and inquiries from the public regarding fees being charged by taxi operators who use online platforms for bookings.
