H9 bird flu detected at Hong Kong wet market after 2-year-old boy infected

A sample collected at Sha Tin’s Wo Che Market has tested positive for H9 avian flu after a two-year-old boy, who visited the wet market twice, contracted the virus.

Hong Kong’s health authority said at a press conference on Monday that they were following the toddler’s infection.
