DFA condemns China Daily's AI video portraying Filipinos as monkeys

MANILA, Philippines —The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has called on China Daily to immediately remove an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated video that portrays Filipinos as monkeys, describing the content as racist, dehumanizing, and unacceptable. In a statement issued Thursday evening, the DFA said the Philippines is demanding the removal of the offensive material and urged China to stop publishing irresponsible content. “The Philippines demands that the offensive material be taken down, calls for the immediate cessation of such irresponsible content, and urges China to uphold dignity, respect, and truth in public discourse,” the DFA said.
