Iloilo, Negros Occidental back stronger municipal waters protection

MANILA, Philippines — The fisherfolk group Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (Pamalakaya) on Friday welcomed recent actions by local officials in Iloilo and Negros Occidental, saying the moves reflect growing support among some local governments for efforts to protect the country’s municipal waters.
