Also on Friday, the Federal Open Market Committee unanimously selected Warsh as its chairman. President Donald J. Trump nominated Mr. Warsh on March 4, 2026. He was confirmed by the United States Senate to serve as a member of the Board on May 12, and as chairman of the Board on May 13.
