A Night with Mozart: Candlelit Concert and Fine Dining in Historic Ballroom

Few cities are as closely connected to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as Prague. More than two centuries after Don Giovanni premiered here, visitors can still experience his music in a setting that captures the atmosphere of the era. The Mozart Dinner at the Grand Hotel Bohemia combines a live opera performance with a three-course dinner in the hotel’s spectacular Boccaccio Hall, one of Prague’s finest historic ballrooms. The concert features leading opera singers accompanied by a string quintet, performing some of Mozart’s best-known arias and duets from The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, and Don Giovanni. The latter holds a special place in Prague’s history, having premiered at the city’s Estates Theatre in 1787. The performance is designed to be more intimate than a traditional opera concert. Instead of remaining on stage throughout the evening, the singers move through the hall, performing among the audience and making guests feel part of the experience.
