Sweden's Liberals want lower state tax on high income earners

The Liberals are now calling for state taxes on high income earners to be lowered from January 1 next year, should the governing parties and the Sweden Democrats win the elections.

Speaking at Almedalen, party leader Simona Mohamsson said that today this tax is a type of penalty for people who choose to get an education.

Mohamsson also raised several other political priorities for the Liberals like the schools sector, tackling serious crimes, improved care for eating disorder patients, and protecting so-called "Dad months" in Sweden's paid parental leave system. ...
