MANILA, Philippines — Ahead of the fifth State of Nation Address (Sona) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., a heated argument between the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) group and the Philippine National Police personnel erupted Monday over a scheduling conflict during the demonstrators’ morning protest.
