Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, appointing the current commander of the United Forces, Mykhailo Drapatyi, to this post.
Zelensky announced that the decision was made as part of the restructuring of the Ukrainian military leadership.

"Ukraine has come a long way. The defense of Ukraine continues, and every soldier must be treated with dignity. I am grateful to Oleksandr Syrskyi and every one of our soldiers that Ukraine continues to hold strong positions on the battlefield," Zelensky declared.
