Swedish study: Living with cats does not worsen asthma in children

Having a cat as a family pet does not appear to worsen children's asthma in the short term, suggests a new study from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.

Many families with asthmatic children are advised to avoid keeping furry pets in the home, but previous studies have often been small and have given conflicting results.
