FIFA has designated Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić to oversee the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. The 46-year-old becomes the first from Slovenia to referee a World Cup final and the 23rd referee in history to reach this distinction, having previously officiated Argentina's Qatar 2022 group-stage match.
