Dangerous 44°C heat index forecast in Metro Manila; 46°C in 4 areas

MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila is forecast to experience a dangerous heat index of 43 to 44°C on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.

Heat index levels of 42°C to 51°C fall under the “danger” category, where risks of heat cramps, heat exhaustion and worse, heat stroke, may be experienced. ...
