PhD student Fahima wins legal battle with Sweden's Migration Agency: 'Undignified'

PhD student Fahima Ayub Khan who was facing deportation has won her legal battle with the Migration Agency, and will now get to stay in Sweden.

Fahima had taken a 20% leave of absence from teaching responsibilities at the University of Gothenburg in order to focus on her research. The Migration Agency rejected her study permit extension over this — but Sweden's Migration Court last week ruled in Fahima's favor.
