Report: Israel orders seizure of more Palestinian land in West Bank

Israeli authorities have ordered the confiscation of 16.577 dunums (4.09 acres) of land in the village of Dura al-Qar', northeast of Ramallah and al-Bireh, for what they described as military purposes, Wafa reported.

The order will remain in effect until the end of 2028.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, the order targets a 2,076-metre strip of land surrounding the settlement of Beit El on three sides.

Wafa said the commission's mid-year 2026 report documented 40 military land seizure orders targeting a total of 611 dunums of Palestinian-owned land.

The report said the orders led to the establishment of four buffer zones around Israeli settlements, the construction of 16 security roads, the establishment of 12 military sites and other military-related uses. ...
