Prisoner dies at Nicosia general hospital

A 50-year-old prisoner died at the Nicosia general hospital during the early hours of Thursday morning.

The man, a Greek national, was serving a six-year sentence after being convicted of drug-related offences.

He died at around 1.20am, having been in hospital for around two months due to what the police described as “serious health problems”. […] ...
