Iran war has cost US $37.5B so far – Defense secretary

WASHINGTON – The US has spent an estimated US$37.5 billion on the war on Iran since the beginning of the conflict roughly five months ago, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told lawmakers Tuesday during a Senate hearing on the Pentagon’s supplemental funding request. “The estimate we have as of today is US$37.5 billion,” Hegseth said when asked about the cost of the war.
