Five detained as youths protest against Education Minister at Tribhuvan University event

KATHMANDU: Five youths were detained on Thursday after staging a protest against Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel during the 67th anniversary celebration of Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur.

The protesters chanted slogans, including “Nepo baby murdabad,” as the minister arrived to attend the university event.

Police intervened and detained five demonstrators.
