PH wraps up Asean ministerial meetings with key regional agreements

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines on Thursday capped four days of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) ministerial meetings that produced new regional agreements, expanded partnerships and reaffirmed the bloc’s positions on key regional issues, ahead of the conclusion of the broader Asean program on Friday. The 59th Asean Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and Related Meetings also tackled regional security, geopolitical tensions and economic cooperation, with Manila hosting high-level meetings under its 2026 Asean chairmanship.
