Dog-related injuries rise in Sweden: 'It bit me in the face'

Preliminary statistics from the National Board of Health and Welfare indicate that the number of people seeking specialist care for dog-related injuries has risen by 26 percent in Sweden since 2020, and according to researchers falls while out with a dog are as common as dog bites.

Three-year-old Linnea suffered facial injuries after being bitten by an unleashed dog, in one of thousands of dog-related incidents reported in Sweden each year.
