Making school holidays meaningful: a call for Recreational learning and an end to holiday classes

Dear Editor,I wish to commend the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Hon Habibatou Drammeh, for her thoughtful video message to schoolchildren as they begin the long vacation.

Her call on children to behave responsibly, remain vigilant, build positive friendships, and engage in safe and constructive activities is timely and commendable.
