Alas Pilipinas tops Myanmar for 5th place in SEA V Cup

MANILA, Philippines — Alas Pilipinas finished the SEA V Cup with another fifth-place finish, sweeping Myanmar, 28-26, 25-17, 25-23, in the second leg classification on Saturday in Jakarta, Indonesia. Lirick Mendoza sustained his fine form with his tournament-best 21 points, including the game-winning kill. The Far Eastern University middle blocker, who was converted into an opposite hitter, had 19 kills, one block, and an ace. Louie Ramirez had 11 points.
