Russians are getting poorer, oligarchs are getting richer

Russia has entered the top five countries in the world in terms of the number of billionaires in dollars and the top ten in terms of the number of millionaires.

According to the Global Wealth Report, Russia currently has 122 billionaires.

Only the United States, China, India and Germany have more billionaires.

Over the past year, 22,000 new dollar millionaires have emerged in Russia. This number is higher even than in China, despite the large difference in population size.

The number of extremely wealthy Russians continues to grow, even as the country faces war, international sanctions and a decline in living standards for many citizens.
