Israel and Lebanon to hold talks in Italy next month

A new round of the US-mediated talks between Israel and Lebanon is set to take place in Italy on 4 August, Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani told the Italian parliament.

Tajani's announcement comes after the Lebanese army stated yesterday that Israeli troops opened fire near Lebanese soldiers in one of the pilot zones which were agreed upon in the last round of talks held in Rome. 

"This offence would impede the deployment into the pilot zones," the Lebanese army said in the statement. ...
