MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture (DA) may defer the importation of 250,000 metric tons (MT) of fish until October as the country maintains a stable supply. Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said the agency will likely authorize fish imports by October or November, coinciding with the start of the temporary fishing ban in key areas.
