Sweden reviews e-scooter rules as accidents surge

With serious accidents on the rise, The Swedish Transport Agency has launched a review of the regulations governing the use of electric scooters on Sweden's roads.

According to the Agency, 7 people died and 6,624 people were injured in e-scooter-related accidents in Sweden last year.

The review will examine both existing regulations and public awareness of them. Authorities believe a lack of knowledge about traffic rules, vehicle requirements and safe riding practices contribute to the accidents. ...
