Softlogic Life Insurance acquires controlling stake in Bangladesh-based insurance company

Softlogic Life Insurance announced that it has completed the acquisition of a 60 percent controlling stake in Bangladesh-based Diamond Life Insurance Company Limited for approximately US$ 1.9 million.

The deal follows a Share Purchase Agreement signed by the Sri Lankan life insurer to acquire the majority stake in the licensed Bangladeshi life insurance entity.
