Input Requested for Next AI/ML STIG Lecture Series Topics

The AI/ML STIG is finalizing topics for the next AI/ML STIG lecture series for Fall 26 and Spring 27 and want your input.
Rough themes we're planning around:
- Agentic AI basics and applications (LLM foundations, transformers, finetuning/RL, RAG, tool use/MCP, multi-agent systems, interpretability)
- AI for scientific instrumentation (edge AI, radiation-tolerant ML, detector/optics design, algorithm-hardware co-design, neuromorphic computing)
- AI opportunities and implications (funding landscape, ethics, pedagogy, policy)
- AI for astronomical surveys (Roman, Rubin applications, operations, robust and interpretable AI)
- Interactive sessions (town hall on AI tools, how to do research with AI)
