Landbank, Visa seek wider GPC rollout

MANILA, Philippines — State-run Land Bank of the Philippines and Visa aim to expand the government purchase card (GPC) program to 2,000 agencies this year with a new expense management system to improve oversight of public spending. The GPC functions like a corporate credit card for government agencies, replacing paper-based cash advances and manual reimbursements with digital payments for procurement, official travel and other recurring expenses.
