More cinemas applying for alcohol licences in Sweden

On June 1st the rules on serving alcohol were changed in Sweden, meaning that venues no longer had to have their own kitchens or serve food in order be able to sell a bottle of beer or a glass of wine.

And now more cinemas also want to be able to sell alcohol, Swedish Radio's culture desk reports.

Christian Lindberg from the Swedish cinema chain Filmstaden says that, so far, selling alcohol at some selected cinemas hasn’t led to more trouble or disturbances. ...
