Brain metabolism predicts survival in advanced non–small cell lung cancer patients

Low brain metabolism as measured by ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT is associated with higher mortality in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), according to new research published in The Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
