PBA: Magnolia earns first win after turning back Meralco

It took Magnolia three games but it finally notched a win in the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup after defeating Meralco, 112-98, at Araneta Coliseum on Friday. The Hotshots used a strong fourth quarter when the Bolts lost steam to improve to a 1-2 record in Group B. “They just had to believe,” coach LA Tenorio said. “They just had to believe that we can battle against these strong, tough and seasoned teams.
