Faced with growing outrage, French government presents new measures for child protection

The French justice minister is facing calls to resign amid growing outrage over how the case of a girl's killing was handled.

The government said on June 8 it was studying new measures to improve child protection and the handling of sexual assault cases, like making sexual offending a possible life sentence.
